The 1867 Society of Homeland
From its origins in 1867, Homeland Center has welcomed residents regardless of their financial circumstances. We never ask a resident to leave because they can no longer afford to pay for care.
Our commitment to benevolent care does, however, come at a cost. Homeland provides more than $4 million in benevolent care annually.
In 2011, we established The 1867 Society of Homeland to strengthen our endowment and help make certain that our services will always be available to those who trust us with their care, but simply can no longer afford the cost.
As a member of The 1867 Society, your legacy can live on, as you ensure that residents, patients, clients and families continue to receive the exceptional quality of care that has been a hallmark of Homeland for over one-and-a-half centuries.
We invite you to become a member of The 1867 Society with a tax-deductible donation of $5,000 or more.
Additionally, planned giving options can benefit both you and Homeland such as:
- Gifts that pay income including Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts
- Gifts after your lifetime including Beneficiary Designations (from retirement accounts or insurance policies); Estate Bequests; and Endowed Gifts
- Gifts you make today through IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions; Charitable Lead Trusts; Memorial and Honorary Gifts; and Gifts of Real Estate and Life Insurance
It would be our privilege to assist you in determining the best way to contribute. Our development professionals are also available to coordinate with your estate, tax or financial planning advisor.
