The 1867 Society of Homeland

Since opening our doors in 1867, Homeland Center has remained steadfast in its mission to welcome residents in need of compassionate care. We never ask a resident to leave because they can no longer afford the care they need.

Fulfilling this promise of benevolent care comes at a significant cost. Today, Homeland provides more than $3 million annually in charitable and benevolent care to residents and families in need.

To help sustain this enduring commitment, Homeland established The 1867 Society of Homeland in 2011 to strengthen our endowment and ensure that exceptional care remains available for generations to come.

As a member of The 1867 Society, you create a lasting legacy of compassion and security for residents, patients, clients, and families who rely on Homeland during life’s most vulnerable moments. Your generosity helps preserve a tradition of care that has defined Homeland for more than 150 years.

We invite you to join The 1867 Society with a tax-deductible gift of $5,000 or more and become part of a legacy that continues to provide comfort, dignity, and peace of mind to those we serve.

In addition to membership in The 1867 Society, planned giving offers meaningful opportunities to support Homeland while helping you achieve your personal, financial, and philanthropic goals. Thoughtful charitable planning can create lasting benefits for both you and the residents and families who depend on Homeland’s care. The following are just a few examples of how we can work together:

  • Gifts that pay income including Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Gifts after your lifetime including Beneficiary Designations (from retirement accounts or insurance policies); Estate Bequests; and Endowed Gifts
  • Gifts you make today through IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions; Charitable Lead Trusts; Memorial and Honorary Gifts; and Gifts of Real Estate and Life Insurance

It would be our privilege to assist you in determining the best way to contribute. We are also available to coordinate with your estate, tax or financial planning advisor.

Please contact Troy Beaver, Director of Development, to schedule a convenient time to discuss a giving plan.

If you are already a member of The 1867 Society, please consider Uplifting Your Legacy.
